V86® (jackpot): The talent toward new heights

The career of the talented Remlov has not been straightforward.
After more than a year of injury problems, he is on the way back.
"He is as good as when he was at his best," says driver Kristian Lindberg ahead of Wednesday’s start on V86®.

The favorites held for the pressure last Wednesday, and the payout was small for those who managed to find all the winners on V86®, resulting in a jackpot this Wednesday. A sole winner could become SEK 18 million richer.
The card is shared between Åby and Solvalla and one of the races is an exciting contest for coldbloods where the winning machine Remlov makes his third start after a long layoff. The horse was previously trained by Kristian Lindberg, but has been trained by Matilda Svensson for some time.
"It’s not really that dramatic. She leases Remlov and trains him here at the farm with me. I have full control of the horse, and we do it together," says Kristian Lindberg.

Difficult injury
Remlov is now 7 years old but has made only 21 starts, winning 12 of them.
"He suffered a suspensory ligament injury at the end of the 2024 season, and it lingered. That’s why he was away for so long; the entire last season was ruined. Knock on wood, it looks good now, and I hope he can race regularly. He has the right attitude and likes to race."
Were you happy with him in the two starts he made this year?
"Yes, I was. He finished fourth in his first start back, and I was completely satisfied with that performance. The plan was for him to improve for the next start, which he did. He was as good as I hoped."
Considering the injury history, how well prepared was he?
"He was well prepared, with a lot of training, but without faster speeds. The idea is that he will get better and better with every start, and it feels like we are on the right track; he feels very good."
What are your thoughts on the Wednesday start?
"It looks interesting. There are only four horses on the starting distance, and Remlov leaves fairly quickly, and I can imagine racing him in the lead if we get there; that’s the easiest way. At the same time, I don’t want to commit to a certain tactic, Åby is a bit special with open stretch, and I won’t defend the lead at any cost."
What are your expectations?
"I think he will race well, and so far, I think he holds his own in this class, even though he has earned quite a bit of money from his few starts. Remlov is seven years old, and since he is a coldblood, I believe and hope there is still quite a lot of development left in him, as long as he stays sound and keeps racing."
