Expert tips for Åby, Monday 5/18/2026
Race 1 - Åby
3 Indy Boy is in top form and has four straight wins, three of them in the V85. Gets a run under his belt here before the final during the Elitlopp weekend. Faces easier horses and has top chance.
2 Tour de Valley is good for this class and won six out of 18 races last year. Is in good form and was fourth in the V86 last Wednesday. Quick starter.
4 Extremely Sweet has been consistent and good this year without winning. He can open fast. The Bergh stable has been really good at the end.
7 Dareios di Poggio won from the front in March and is coming from a second place. Now driven by Stefan Persson and could be a place bet from here.

Race 2 - Åby
2 Satsuma faces good conditions as a filly and is clearly better than the latest results show. Has galloped at the end with energy left and is looking for revenge. Is driven by Johan Untersteiner himself now. Excellent lane.
8 Look at Me Sisu is poorly drawn but is good for this company and comes from two nice performances after a layoff. Now driven by Örjan Kihlström.
6 BB Amore sprinted to an easy win and looked very nice. The Bergh stable is in top form. Early choice.
1 Budets Hildur has been closely defeated as second recently and deserves a victory. Should get a nice trip from here.

Race 3 - Åby
6 Nettan Bourbon took the lead in the last race after a layoff and won very easily. Looked nice and should be even better now. Will probably get an offensive journey here. Good chance.
10 Pure Color returns after a break but we have great respect for the Christoffer Eriksson/ Örjan Kihlström combination. The horse is good for this company. Early choice behind the favorite.
1 Lucky Treize never got a chance in the last race after an inside run. The horse is now driven by Carl Johan Jepson and that is a big advantage. Warning.
11 Kiki Sotto comes from Denmark. Sprinted to a close victory two starts back and finished well as third a bit behind the winner. Rosleff is driving now.

Race 4 - Åby
1 Cantal has scored two good second places this year and is well drawn here. We think he will take the lead and then he is the horse to beat.
8 Grodda Jet is a tough opponent though. He started the season with four wins in a row but wasn't at his best in the last V85 race. Poor number but an early challenger nonetheless.
10 Dencos T.D. has shown fine form in four starts this year without winning. Top driver Carl Johan Jepson now and should be considered.
11 Proffs won two starts back but was not at his best last time in the V85. The form is a bit hard to predict but we expect him to be well prepared by Bergh. His stable is in great form!
